Here are some native plants to my area. These seeds were planted in the same organic soil/peat/leaf litter seed starting mix I used for the goji plants. They were planted the same way and kept moist and covered in a cool part of my house for three weeks until they finally started to germinate. Here is a Rocky Mountain Columbine it's scientific name is
Aquilegia caerulea. I enjoy it's large compound leaves and long slender petioles.
To the left are the Palmer Penstemons
. These were the slowest to germinate of all the wildflowers, except for the passion flowers, taking four weeks to germinate. Don't give up prematurely on these seeds. They grow well in much cooler soils than most of the other plants.
